How long does it take to process my tax return?
If you made additions or changes to your tax return, you will receive a new tax decision in the time between May and October. We send new tax decisions to taxpayers in random order, and you cannot hasten your tax decision.
Note: you will be receiving all tax-related letters electronically if you log in to MyTax or other e-government services starting 14 April. You will activate Suomi.fi Messages and tax correspondence will be delivered electronically only, in MyTax. This means a transition from paper: your next tax decision and information on tax refunds or back taxes, etc. will be sent in electronic format only.
When you activate Suomi.fi messages, you will receive an e-mail when your tax decision is available in MyTax.
