Can I file a tax return on behalf of another person?

You can check and make additions to a pre-completed tax return on behalf of another person in MyTax if you have a Suomi.fi authorisation that allows you to take care of their tax matters.

Private individuals can grant a Suomi.fi authorisation to another individual in different ways.

• If the person granting an authorisation is able to use electronic services, they can grant the authorisation in the Suomi.fi e-authorisation service. See instructions under the ”Private individuals” section: How to grant a Suomi.fi authorisation for tax matters
• If the person granting an authorisation is unable to use electronic services, they can visit a service location of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency, where they can approve an authorisation request or prepare a mandate application.
