Tax matters tab replaces Activities and All tax types tabs
MyTax now includes a new tab with the heading Tax matters. The new tab replaces two previous tabs: Activities, and All tax types.
You can now find everything that was previously located under two different tabs under the Tax matters tab. The only exception are the sections Taxpayer details and Status of returns and requests. These can now be found under Communication.
You can take care of a variety of tax matters under the Tax matters tab.
The Communication tab now includes two new sections: Taxpayer details, and Status of returns and requests.
Request e-invoicing in MyTax
Individual taxpayers can now request e-invoicing in MyTax.
Open the Taxpayer details tab, go to the Bank details section, and select Request e-invoicing. (See the image at the bottom of this page.) After you have made the request, you will receive an e-invoicing proposal in your e-bank. Accept the proposal to start receiving e-invoices. The proposal will be valid for 30 days.
If you do not have an e-invoicing contract in effect, you can see a note of this in your MyTax Tasks. You can also make the e-invoicing request on the Tasks tab.

Virtual barcode simplifies making payments in e-banks
When you want to pay your taxes in your e-bank, you can copy the payment details from MyTax to the e-bank using the virtual barcode.
The virtual barcode populates the e-bank’s payment template with all the required details except for the payment recipient’s name.
You can find the virtual barcode in MyTax by selecting Paying taxes on the home page and then clicking the virtual barcode button next to the correct tax type.
You can select English as your service language
If you want to receive Tax Administration letters in English, you can now select English as your service language in MyTax. Open the Taxpayer details tab, go to the Communication language and service language section, and select Activate service language. You can also change your service language back to the original selection here.
After you have selected English as your service language, the Tax Administration will send you English-language versions of the letters that are available in English.
Please note that activating the service language does not change your official communication language. You cannot change your communication language in MyTax. If your native language recorded in the Finnish Population Information System is Finnish or Swedish, this language is also your communication language.
