Did you forget to send information about your real estate tax?

You will receive the real estate tax decision in March. If there have been changes to your real estate units or there are errors in the information, make any required corrections by 7 May 2024. If you are making corrections after the deadline, follow these instructions.

If you submit information on real estate tax after the deadline, you may have to pay a late-filing penalty.

First check if your real estate tax assessment has been completed

The end date of your real estate tax assessment affects how changes are reported.

Your personal tax assessment end date can vary, but it is usually between June and October. The end date is the date when the Tax Administration completes the assessment of your real estate tax for the current year.

You can check your real estate tax assessment end date in MyTax or in your real estate tax decision:

  • MyTax: The end date is shown on the home page at Real estate tax 2024.
  • Tax decision: The end date is stated on the first page of the decision.

If your real estate tax assessment is still ongoing

If your real estate tax assessment has not been completed yet, make the changes to the real estate tax return in MyTax.

If your real estate tax assessment has ended

If the end date of your real estate tax assessment has passed, or if you need to make changes to information concerning previous years, you can file a claim for adjustment.
