Introduction to e-filing
Secure login procedures are required. You can use Web bank identifiers, the electronic identity card issued by the Population Register Centre, and the User ID and Password called Katso.
How to log in
File the return on a fillable Web form
This e-filing channel is suitable for smaller filers with one filing at a time and with low annual quantities of tax returns and reports.
Fillable web forms look like the corresponding paper forms, and you can fill in the spaces as usual. When you have successfully sent off the web form, you always get an acknowledgement of receipt.
Examples: You can log in to MyTax to complete Self-assessed tax returns (formerly the Periodic tax return).
File the return via Data Transfer
This channel is best suited for large amounts of information. Data transfer involves transmission of computer files, created by the taxpayer company's accounting software or otherwise.
You upload computer files either directly the accounting software, or as uploaded files through the www.ilmoitin.fi website, or through an e-service provided by a Tyvi operator. When you have sent off the return successfully, you get an acknowledgement of receipt.
Accounting software applications often contain a proprietary feature that sets up tax return files. For more information, please contact your commercial software vendor or send e-mail to tyvi(at)vero.fi.
