The coronavirus situation: Take care of your taxes in MyTax if possible
News, 3/13/2020The Tax Administration provides service for taxpayers as usual. However, we keep monitoring the latest information on the spread of the virus.
In addition, by Monday 16 March, we will put up more guidance for taxpayers on our website, explaining how late submittal of tax returns or late payment of taxes will be dealt with if the reason for the taxpayer’s late action is the coronavirus epidemic.
If you are not well, do not visit a tax office
- Please handle your tax affairs in MyTax if possible. In fact, you can take care of almost all your taxes in MyTax.
- Complete instructions have been put up on our website to help taxpayers to take care of their taxes independently.
- You can also call our telephone service to ask for guidance. In addition, we provide answers to general questions about taxes in the social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
- Please do not visit your local tax office unless you have a very urgent matter. If the matter is urgent and you must come to the tax office, please follow the recommendations on personal hygiene released by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL).
The Tax Administration’s Coordinating Group continues to monitor the coronavirus situation and follows the guidance given by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. We will release further recommendations and guidance as necessary.
