The coronavirus situation: Take care of your taxes in MyTax if possible

News, 3/13/2020

The Tax Administration provides service for taxpayers as usual. However, we keep monitoring the latest information on the spread of the virus.

In addition, by Monday 16 March, we will put up more guidance for taxpayers on our website, explaining how late submittal of tax returns or late payment of taxes will be dealt with if the reason for the taxpayer’s late action is the coronavirus epidemic.

If you are not well, do not visit a tax office

The Tax Administration’s Coordinating Group continues to monitor the coronavirus situation and follows the guidance given by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare. We will release further recommendations and guidance as necessary.

Follow the guidelines of the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare

Wash your hands

  • After touching the same surfaces as someone with a cold
  • When you come in from outdoors
  • Before cooking and meals
  • After using the toilet or changing a diaper
  • After coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose

Cough correctly

  • If possible, use a paper tissue.
  • Put the used tissue into a bin and wash your hands with soap.
  • Cough and sneeze into your sleeve to stop infections from spreading.
