Ordering production certificates will change in October

The Tax Administration’s certificate service will allow users to request API rights and new certificates, not only Tax Administration certificates but also Incomes Register certificates. After the launch of the new certificate service, API rights or certificates can no longer be managed in the Incomes Register’s e-service.

The production certificates section will be opened for users of the Tax Administration’s, the Incomes Register’s, and the Positive Credit Register’s interface on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 9 AM.

Tax cards will become valid in January starting next year

Starting in 2025, tax cards will be valid from the beginning of the year. In other words, the tax card for 2025 will become valid on 1 January 2025. Until now, tax cards have become valid in February. The change will make it easier for taxpayers to keep an eye on the tax rate and income ceiling.

The preparation of basic tax cards for 2025 will start on 22 November 2024. The calculations will take approximately two weeks. You can use VeroAPI to retrieve withholding data as the basic calculations proceed. Payment date controls which withholding percentage is returned. Latest active tax card data in relation to payment date is returned. Withholding percentages that become active after payment date are not returned.

The schedules for direct transfers will remain the same: using direct transfer, employers can retrieve 2025 tax cards after 10 December. Direct transfer is available until 15 February 2025.
