You can now make changes to cancelled credit

6/18/2025

In December, we announced a change to the processing rules of the credit expiry interface of the Positive credit register, which will allow credit previously reported as cancelled to be returned to active status. The change has now been implemented and it will therefore be possible to make changes to cancelled credit in the future.

The change did not change the information content or the mandatory rules for the notification of the termination or cancellation of credit. The change to the interface processing rules was published for stakeholder testing on 19 May 2025, and the testing period was 19 May–18 June 2025. The change was released into production on 18 June 2025.

How can I make changes to cancelled credit?

In the past, notifiers were unable to correct information about the cancellation of credit. If credit was cancelled, the notifier was unable to reactivate it or correct the notification of cancellation. In the future, it will also be possible to correct the cancellation of credit, such as the expiry of credit within two years of the date of cancellation.

You can make changes to credit that has already been reported as invalid by submitting a notification to the credit interface with the type 'error correction'. You can also, for example, edit the expiry date of credit you have previously indicated in the same way.
