Private individual: If you have already granted Suomi.fi authorisations, please do it again

2/20/2024

The Positive credit register’s e-service will open for private individuals on 1 April 2024. If necessary, you can authorise another person to act on your behalf in the e-service. Grant an authorisation in the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations service.

If you have granted an authorisation to another person before 20 February 2024, you must do it again. You can grant a new authorisation in the Suomi.fi e-Authorisations service as of 20 February 2024.

Previously granted authorisations were too limited in scope, so they have to be cancelled and cannot be used in the Positive credit register's e-service. Granting authorisations has been possible as of autumn 2023, but it has not been possible to use them anywhere because the e-service is not yet available.

New authorisations that are wider in scope will be available in the Suomi.fi e-Authorizations service as of 20 February 2024. A person with a new authorisation can use the Positive credit register's e-service on the authorising party’s behalf as of 1 April 2024.

A person with the Viewing loan data and setting a voluntary ban on credits authorisation can do the following:

  • view information on the authorising party’s loans, the guarantees they have provided, and the credit register extracts requested about them
  • set, edit or remove a voluntary ban on credits
  • give or cancel consent that information about the credit ban can be disclosed to credit reference agencies, which in turn can disclose the information for the purposes laid down in the act on credit information
  • enable or disable alerts when credit register extracts are being requested.
