News about Vero API

New Status API helps track the progress of tax return processing

The Status API enables accounting firms and software providers to monitor the progress of their clients' tax return processing at the Tax Administration. By using the API, status information can be retrieved directly into financial management software, reducing the need for manual follow-up and separate checks in MyTax.

The API will be released to production by the end of October. After the release, the API documentation will be available in the API Portal.

APIs for retrieving tax return data to become available for wider use

The APIs for retrieving agricultural tax returns (Form 2), forestry tax returns (Form 2C), and business tax returns (Form 5) are curretly available only to limited users, which are financial institutions.

The aim is to add Suomi.fi authorization checks during the Tax Administration’s system update in November (14-15 November). Once implemented, these APIs will also become available to other organizations. Using the APIs requires the "Managing of tax affairs or Reporting, updating and retrieving tax information via the interface" authorization, and they can be used to retrieve the latest tax return information published in MyTax.
