MyTax will be down during the weekend – manage your taxes in good time

News, 5/11/2026

MyTax will be down in the coming weekend due to a system update. During the downtime, you cannot manage your taxes in MyTax. For example, you cannot request a new tax card or pay taxes. Because of all this, make sure you take care of your tax matters in good time before the downtime.

Effects of downtime – pay special attention to the following

MyTax

  • MyTax will close on Saturday 16 May at 7, and all users will be automatically logged out. Further, you cannot log in to the service after 6.30.
  • MyTax will open again on Monday 18 May at 8.

During the downtime, you cannot log in to MyTax to manage your taxes, such as make tax payments. You can pay taxes in your e-bank, however, but check the required payment details in MyTax in good time before the downtime.

The system update does not bring changes to MyTax functionalities, so the service will look the same as before.

Our taxpayer service will open normally on Monday morning at 9.

Effects on the Tax Administration’s other services

  • Tax Number Register: The Tax Number Register is not in use during the downtime. This means that we cannot issue tax numbers or enter taxpayers in the Tax Number Register. Read more: Tax Number Register – vero.fi
  • Tax debt certificates: The Tax Debt Register is not in use during the downtime. Tax debt certificates can be requested again starting on Monday 18 May at 8 in MyTax and at 9 in our taxpayer service.
  • Vero.fi: The Tax Administration’s website will be available even though MyTax is down. Only calculators, such as the tax rate calculator, are unavailable.
  • Application programming interfaces (APIs): The interfaces will close on Saturday 16 May at 7 and re-open on Sunday 17 May at 17 at the latest.
  • Ilmoitin.fi service: During the service break, you can submit reports in the Ilmoitin.fi service and from your own software via an operator. However, we will not process the reports until after the break. The report or data you file will be recorded for the day when it is submitted.
  • Incomes Register: The service can be used and reports submitted as usual. The information reported during the downtime will not show in MyTax until on Tuesday 19 May.
  • Positive credit register: The service can be used normally.
  • Palkka.fi: Salaries and wages can be calculated and reports submitted to the Incomes Register normally but the information will not be transmitted to MyTax until after the break. During the downtime, you cannot use the Palkka.fi service to retrieve information, such as employees’ tax card details, from the Tax Administration’s system.
