Ensure the continuity of your lending business – test the new features in time

In December, lenders start reporting second-stage loans to the register. At the same time, the data content of the credit register extract changes, as new loan types are added to the extract. To make sure you can receive the new data, you should test the requesting of credit register extracts in good time.

New loans in the register and on credit register extract starting 1 December 2025

On 1 December 2025, lenders start reporting second-stage loans, i.e. loans granted to natural persons other than consumers, to the Positive credit register. They include loans granted to business name entrepreneurs for business purposes, for example. On account of this, new data fields are added to the credit register extract for the business name entrepreneur’s Business ID and name.

Loans will be shown on credit register extracts immediately after they have been reported to the register. So if you are using information you receive on credit register extracts, please note that the content of the extract will change. To make sure you can report and also receive the new data, you should participate in stakeholder testing.  Now is the time to start testing if you have not done it yet.

Renew your certificate

Please note that the Positive credit register’s certificates are valid for two years at a time, so the first certificates that were issued will be expiring soon. You can test the certificate renewal process with your testing certificate.

You can renew your certificate in the certificate service API, provided that your own system allows it and that your certificate is still valid.
