MyTax will be down during the weekend – manage your taxes in good time
Tax Administration Bulletin, 5/12/2026MyTax will be down in the coming weekend due to a system update. You cannot manage your taxes in MyTax during the downtime.
The downtime will start on Saturday 16 May at 7 and end on Monday 18 May at 8. During the downtime, you cannot log in to MyTax to manage your taxes.
– We advise taxpayers to take care of their tax matters in good time before the downtime. For example, you cannot request a new tax card in MyTax during the weekend, says Joonas Jarva, Product Owner at the Tax Administration.
The system update will not bring changes to MyTax functionalities, so after the downtime the service will look the same as before.
Our taxpayer service is available during the normal service hours before and after the downtime.
Effects on the Tax Administration’s other services
- Tax Number Register: not in use during the downtime.
- Tax debt certificates: available from MyTax and the Tax Administration’s taxpayer service again starting on Monday 18 May.
- Vero.fi: works normally, but calculators, such as the tax rate calculator, are unavailable.
- Application programming interfaces (APIs): will close on Saturday 16 May at 7 and re-open on Sunday 17 May at 17 at the latest.
- Ilmoitin.fi: returns can be submitted but they will not be processed until after the service break.
- Incomes Register: works normally but the information will not be shown in MyTax until on Tuesday 19 May.
- Palkka.fi: is in operation but during the downtime you cannot retrieve employees’ tax card details, for example, from the Tax Administration’s system.
