We will continue to communicate about API changes in good time

API changes in the Positive credit register will continue to be made and communicated in good time on our website. We asked data notifiers and users for their views on changes to the communication and implementation schedules to ensure that the changes do not complicate or hinder lenders’ activities.

Based on responses through the survey, we came to the following conclusions:

  • Non-breaking and breaking changes to the APIs of the Positive credit register may, if necessary, be released twice per calendar year
  • We will communicate breaking API changes, including any updates to API documentation, to stakeholders at least 6 months before the API change is released into production.
  • We will communicate non-breaking API changes, including any updates to API documentation, to stakeholders at least 2 months before the API change is released into production.

For example, we will communicate upcoming changes through stakeholder events, online news and our newsletters.
