Inaccuracies in credit card data reported by OP Pohjola have been corrected

2/18/2026

In our news article released on 13 February 2026, we communicated about an error regarding OP Pohjola’s reporting of credit card data. OP Pohjola has corrected the inaccuracies and credit card details in the Positive credit register. OP Pohjola is now reporting data normally.

Two separate errors were earlier detected in data reported by OP Pohjola between December and February. On account of a technical error, some customers’ credit limit changes and credit card payment transactions had not been updated to the Positive credit register.

Lender – also note the following

In January and February 2026, the Positive credit register has had several errors that may have affected the contents of credit register extracts. For further information, see our news archive

Also keep in mind that the Positive credit register does not necessarily, even under normal circumstances, provide a complete picture of the loan applicant’s finances. The reporting of loan data pertaining to the register’s second stage has begun recently and is still ongoing: lenders are required to report data on loans granted to natural persons for business purposes by 31 March 2026. Further, business name entrepreneurs’ and grant recipients’ income data, for example, is not available from the Positive credit register. Lenders need to be aware of the limitations of the register’s data and use other sources in addition to the credit register extract at their own discretion when assessing the loan applicant’s creditworthiness.
