Changes coming to APIs – lenders to test new functions in good time

5/13/2026

In April, we reported that improvements to the API for requesting credit register extracts from the Positive credit register are due to be introduced with regard to the relaying of income data, with effect from 7 October 2026. The change is already available for testing in the stakeholder testing environment. On 7 October 2026, we will also be releasing an update to the new credit reporting API. The update will add the option to report information regarding the foreclosure of loans also in the New loan Api. The change will be available for testing in the stakeholder testing environment on 16 June 2026.

Change to the view for missing income data available for testing

After the update, individuals’ income data will be displayed as numerical data in credit register extracts only if the individual has income data that was received from the Incomes Register. In other words, if someone is, for example, a self-employed individual and does not have income data reported to the Incomes Register, no rows concerning income data will be displayed to the lender when they order an extract. In this section, private individuals will see the message “No data reported” on their credit register extracts in the e-service. The update will come into effect on 7 October 2026. The update aims to make it easier for lenders to distinguish situations where an individual does not have income data reported to the Incomes Register.

We have published an API description detailing the change. Based on this description, lenders using the APIs can begin preparing for the necessary changes to their own systems. According to the original schedule, it was supposed to be possible to test the change from 16 June 2026, but the change can already be tested in the EXtTest2 API. You can find the API description on our website:

In future, you will be able to report the foreclosure of a transferred loan via the new loan API – testing to begin in June

We are also making it easier to report a transferred loan as foreclosed. On 7 October 2026, we will add a new function to the new loan API that allows lenders to report information regarding the foreclosure of a loan and the date of foreclosure, in cases where the loan is also reported as having been transferred from another lender. Until now, it has only been possible to report information on foreclosure via the Delayed amounts API.

The aim of the change is to make it easier, in particular, for debt collectors to report: In future, for example, the reporting of a purchased foreclosed receivable will no longer require a separate notification of foreclosure  to be submitted via the Delayed amounts API. Please note that this change allows foreclosure information to be reported via the new loan API only in cases where a loan has been transferred from another lender.

The change can be tested via the EXtTest2 API from 16 June 2026. You can find the API description on our website

The ‘accuracy of income data denied’ entry to be added to credit register extracts – testing to begin in August

In February, we reported that, in future, income earners will be able to ask the Incomes Register Unit to correct their personal data and restrict its processing. They may also ask that missing data be added. This will be possible from the start of 2027. The information regarding the denial of the accuracy of the income data will then be relayed from the Incomes Register to the Positive credit register. Lenders will be informed of the denial through the credit register extracts that they have ordered.

The update has been progressing and, from 4 January 2027, a so-called dispute indication will be added to the income data on credit register extracts where an individual has disputed the accuracy of their income data in the Incomes Register and wishes to restrict the processing of that data. For lenders, a dispute indication regarding income data will appear on credit register extracts. Please note that, if a person’s credit register extract shows disputed income data, you should treat the data with greater caution than usual.

It will be possible to test the update relating to the dispute indication in the ExtTest2 stakeholder testing environment from 11 August 2026. The documentation relating to this change has already been published, and you can find the API description on our website as usual
