‘Accuracy denied’ entry to credit register extracts – testing postponed
8/10/2026In May we announced that an entry showing that the accuracy of income data has been denied would be introduced into credit register extracts. Testing was scheduled to start on 11 August 2026 but it will be postponed on account of technical challenges. The change can be tested in the ExtTest2 stakeholder testing environment starting on 8 September 2026. We apologize for the inconvenience.
What is this all about?
Income earners will be able to request the Incomes Register Unit to correct their personal data and limit the processing of the data as of 4 January 2027. They can also request that missing data should be added. The functionality relates to the accuracy of income and benefits payment data reported to the Incomes Register, for example. The Incomes Register transmits the data to the Positive credit register, and the data will be shown on credit register extracts requested about the person’s data.
In other words, the income data on the credit register extract will include an ‘accuracy denied’ entry if the person has denied the accuracy of the data in the Incomes Register and wants the processing of the data to be limited. Please note that if there is an ‘accuracy-denied’ entry on a person’s credit register extract, you should consider their income data with extra care.
Testing of the change relating to the ‘accuracy-denied’ entry was scheduled to begin in the ExtTest2 stakeholder testing environment on 11 August 2026. On account of technical challenges, however, testing will be postponed. It is likely to start on 8 September 2026. We apologise for any convenience caused by the change of schedule.
Documentation relating to the change has already been published, and you will find the API description on our web site as usual.
