How to file a car tax return in MyTax

Find Activities and select All activities.

Go to the section Tax returns and tax information. Select Car tax.

Go to Tax returns and other notices and select Car tax return.

Enter the vehicle’s details in the Basic details stage. If necessary, change the contact information of the person who can provide further information.

If you have previously submitted a declaration of use for the vehicle, the basic details will be displayed on the return automatically after you have entered the VIN.

When you have filled in all the necessary details, proceed to Technical details.

Enter the vehicle’s technical details. After you have selected the vehicle type, the other technical details are completed automatically.

If you cannot find the vehicle type in the menu, select Other and fill in the other details manually.

Enter the vehicle’s CO2 emissions details if requested.

After you have entered all the vehicle’s technical details, move on to the next stage, Preview and send.

Check the details you have entered to make sure everything is correct. If necessary, you can make further changes by clicking Edit.

When all the details are correct, submit the car tax return.
