Application for refund of car tax (1214)

Use this form to request a refund of car tax for a vehicle that, upon its first registration in Finland, was entered in the traffic register as a vehicle subject to reduced car tax or as tax-exempt, but car tax was imposed in full. Examples include school taxis and accessible taxis, as well as rescue vehicles and ambulances.

You cannot use this application to request a refund for a used van that is subject to reduced car tax. If you want the vehicle to be taxed as a reduced-tax van, file a claim for adjustment concerning car tax.
