How to file a tax return for forestry operations

  1. Log in to MyTax.

  2. You can report details for the tax return by clicking on “Tax returns and tax information” under Activities. 

  3. Select the previous year and find “Tax return for forestry” in the list.

  4. In the first stage, you will see your background information. If the details are correct, proceed to stage 2 “Income”.

  5. If you have no forestry income to report, you can state so in this stage.

  6. You can report income by clicking “Yes” in the right section. You can close the boxes by clicking on the “Total” row.

  7. Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 3 “Expenses and reserves”.

  8. If you have no forestry expenses to report, you can state so in this stage.

  9. You can report expenses by clicking “Yes” in the right section. You can close the boxes by clicking on the “Total” row.

  10. Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 4 “Preview and send”.

  11. Check the details before submitting them.

    If needed, you can still make corrections. You can return to earlier stages by clicking Previous.

    If you wish to continue filling in the details later, select “Save as unfinished”. The Tax Administration will not process the tax return before you have submitted it.

  12. If the details are correct, click “Submit”.

    Returns you submit are also saved in MyTax.
