How to make a tax card 2018 in MyTax
Select “Tax cards and prepayments” under “Activities” on the MyTax home page.
If you want to make changes to your tax card, click “Order a new tax card”.
(Cards made before November 2018 are not available in MyTax.)
In the first stage, you will see your relevant taxpayer details. If the details are correct, proceed to stage 2. Pre-completed income and deduction.
Check your income and make the necessary changes.
Example: If you expect changes in the amount of pay you receive, select either “I am submitting an estimate of the entire year’s pay” or “I am submitting an estimate of the pay for the remaining year”. Remember to report the pay you have received since the start of the year, and the tax that has been withheld on it.
Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 3. Other income.
If you have other income than wage income, report them here.
Example: If you receive rental income, select “Yes” to submit details on it.
Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 4. Other deductions.
Report your deductions and tax credit here.
Example: If you want to file commuting expenses, select “Yes” for “Travel expenses”. (See instructions for filing travel expenses in MyTax)
Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 5. Delivery method.
Select the tax card’s date of validity and delivery method.
You can choose to receive the tax card only in MyTax or, if you wish, it can also be sent by mail to your address or your employer’s address.
Check the details before submitting them.
If needed, you can still make corrections. You can return to earlier stages by clicking “Previous”.
If you wish to continue filling in the details later, select “Save as unfinished”. The Tax Administration will not process the tax return before you have submitted it.
If the details are correct, click “Submit”.
The new tax card will be delivered to the recipient of your choice. The tax card’s details are always displayed in MyTax.
