How to add a building or an extension in MyTax

  1. Select All activities under Activities.

  2. Go to the section Tax returns and tax information. Select Real estate tax.

  3. Read the instructions and click I have read the instructions. Proceed to the next stage, Real estate details.

  4. If you add a building or an extension to a current real estate unit or rented area, select the real estate unit’s property identifier.

    If the entire real estate unit or the leasehold right including buildings is missing, select Add real estate unit and continue from step 9 of these instructions.

  5. Select Add building.

    You can also add an extension by clicking Add extension under the building’s basic details.

  6. Select whether you are adding a building or an extension to an existing building. If you are adding an extension, select which building the extension is for. Enter the required details on the building or extension and click OK.

  7. Click OK. Continue from step 12 of these instructions.

  8. If you add a building or an extension to a current real estate unit or rented area, select Building. Enter the municipality where the building is located as well as other basic details concerning the real estate unit. Select Add building.

    If the entire real estate unit or the leasehold right including buildings is missing, select Real estate unit.

  9. Select the building type from the list. Enter the building details. Once all the details are correct, click OK.

  10. Click OK. You can make corrections to the details before you submit the return. You can now see the same details in the section Basic details of the building and details on the building part.

  11. Proceed to the next stage, Additional details and attachments.

  12. Give the necessary additional details and add attachments as needed. Make sure that the contact information is correct. Proceed to Preview and send.

  13. Check the details you have entered to make sure everything is correct. When all the details are correct, submit the real estate tax return.
