Reporting channels

Data may be reported to the Incomes Register via several channels, but the recommended and simplest method is to report the data directly from the payroll system.

For example, the wages calculated in the free Palkka.fi service and other data are automatically transferred to the Incomes Register, thereby eliminating the need for a separate report to the Incomes Register. If you are using some other payroll accounting system, check from your system supplier whether the data are automatically transferred to the Incomes Register or whether you need to do something.

The data can also be entered in the Incomes Register's e-service. Log into the service at incomesregister.fi.

There are two different ways of reporting income data in the Incomes Register’s e-service:

  1. the upload service for uploading data to the Incomes Register as an XML file
  2. an online form on which you can enter information of an individual report to the Incomes Register.

You can log into the Incomes Register's e-service using personal online banking codes, a mobile certificate or a certificate card.

Information can be reported to the Incomes Register on a paper form only in special circumstances.
