What is a suborganisation?

A suborganisation is determined by the company itself for use as a means of separating the organisation's different business departments and other units from the main organisation. With this method, the organisation can grant authorisations to certain suborganisation employees and thus keep, for example, payroll management as its own entity in a large company or some other organisation. In the Katso service, the suborganisation identifier is added to the end of the Business ID. The maximum length for a suborganisation identifier in the Katso service is 20 characters. In the e-Authorisations service, the suborganisation identifier is added as the authorisation code's defining specifier.
