Katso instructions for agents

If your client has a Katso ID, proceed as follows:
  • Ask your client for the Authorizations you need. See How to grant an Authorization for precise information on Authorizations.
  • Go to Katso to receive the Authorization, and delegate it to yourself and/or your employee(s), who deal with this client´s accounting business. For precise information, see How to receive a granted Authorization - organization.
  • Whoever is delegated can sign in to e-services on behalf of this client, and proceed to perform operations as defined by the Authorization.

If your client has no Katso ID, proceed as follows:

  • Contact your client to agree on setting up an online Power of Attorney (agree with your client on questions like period of validity, and what Roles to include).
  • Then you can create a Power of Attorney for your client (also called Principal) to approve.
  • Your client will receive e-mail to tell him that a Power of Attorney has been made and is now waiting for approval. Your client can then press the link in the e-mail message to move on to approve the Power of Attorney. However, he should identify himself with Network Banking ID and Password or with an electronic ID card. Alternatively, he can visit a tax office that deals with Katso registration.
  • The tax authority will check your client´s right to sign the company name, and then activate the Power of Attorney. You will receive e-mail when this process is complete.
  • You should delegate the Authorization to yourself and/or to the employee(s) of your accounting firm as appropriate.
  • Whoever is delegated can sign in to e-services on behalf of this client, and proceed to perform operations as defined by the Authorization.

If you or your accounting firm have no Katso ID yet, proceed as follows:

  • Go to Katso website to set up a Katso ID. To become Master User, you should have the right to sign the company name.
  • You can set up Katso Sub-IDs for your employees.
  • If your employee upgrades an existing Sub-ID, it will be a Katso ID. This may be necessary if your accounting firm is using an e-service requiring strong authentication at sign-in, or requiring an Authorization type not available to users with only a Sub-ID.
