Instructions for corporate Katso users (with in-house filing of tax returns)

If you have the right to sign the company name, and you work with electronic filing, you will need a Katso ID to let you sign in securely to the websites of the Finnish Tax Administration or other public authorities.
  • Go to the Katso website (yritys.tunnistus.fi) to set up a Katso ID. For more information, see Setting up Master User. You will receive e-mail after the setup process is complete and your Katso ID is ready for use. Now you can use it for signing in and for sending off tax returns.
  • If you want to let your employees sign in and use e-services on behalf of your business, go to Katso website to set up a Katso Sub-ID.
  • After setting up the Sub-ID, you should grant a suitable authorization to it. If your employee already has a Katso ID, you can grant it to this ID.

If you work with electronic filing as an employee, to sign in securely to the websites of the Finnish Tax Administration or other public authorities, you can ask the Master User of your employer company to set up a Katso Sub-ID for you. Then you can use it to sign in to e-services.

If you work with e-services on websites where strong authentication is needed, you should upgrade your Katso Sub-ID to a Katso ID. Similarly, if your work requires an Authorization that cannot be granted to a Katso Sub-ID, you should upgrade your Katso Sub-ID to a Katso ID.

Acknowledge receipt of an Authorization granted to a Katso ID. Then you can use it to sign in to various e-services.
