How to file a business tax return (form 5) in MyTax

  1. Log in to MyTax.

  2. You can report details for the tax return by clicking on “Tax returns and tax information” under Activities.

  3. Select the previous year and find “Business tax return – business operator or self-employed person” in the list.

  4. In the first stage, you will see your background information. If the details are correct, proceed to stage 2 “Revenues”.

    If you operate a business together with your spouse, you can report the shares of distribution of business income by clicking “Yes”.

  5. If you have no revenues, trips or car use relating to business to report, you can state so in this stage.

  6. You can report revenues by clicking “Yes” in the right section. You can close the boxes by clicking on the “Total” line.

  7. Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 3 “Expenses”.

  8. If you have no expenses relating to business to report or you are not making depreciation, you can state so in this stage.

  9. You can report Expenses by clicking “Yes” in the right section. You can close the boxes by clicking on the “Total” line.

  10. Once everything is correct, proceed to stage 4 “Calculation of net worth”.

  11. Go to step 5 “Preview and send”.

  12. Check the details before submitting them.

    If needed, you can still make corrections. You can return to earlier stages by clicking Previous.

    If you wish to continue filling in the details later, select “Save as unfinished”. The Tax Administration will not process the tax return before you have submitted it.

  13. If the details are correct, click “Submit”.

    Returns you submit are also saved in MyTax.
