Do you provide taxi, transportation, or rental services for others? If you are an intermediary, you must submit an information returnNews, 5/20/2020
Starting January 2020, a new requirement to report information to the Tax Administration is in effect. Those who operate as intermediaries for various transport and rental services must send reports on the paid amounts. The intermediaries must send the information due to a legal requirement. First reports are sent at the end of the year.
When payments to the taxi drivers and other service providers in the transportation sector are organised by an intermediary, the reporting requirement concerns the intermediary.
In the same way, when payments to owners of rented-out flats and apartments are organised by an intermediary, the reporting requirement concerns the intermediary. The rented-out apartment may be just a section of a larger apartment, or a unit of real estate.
Give your report on an electronic form
The annual information return must be sent by 1 February 2021 for the first time. This report must contain all the 2020 payments of rent, taxi fares, and other transportation fees.
You can choose between an electronic reporting interface and an e-service.
What information is reported?
The information must contain details about the intermediary, a list of the persons who were paid, and the amounts of money that were paid to them. Further instructions and guidance is going to be on the vero.fi (www.tax.fi) website later.
