E-filing of bank account number mandatory for businesses and corporations, as well as other VAT-registered taxpayers

Bank account numbers are filed online using MyTax (tax.fi/mytax). Using a paper form to report a bank account number will only be permitted for a special reason, such as technical failure.

Corporations and joint administrations, as well as other VAT-registered taxpayers, must use e-filing to report their bank account number to the Tax Administration.

The obligation to use e-filing entered into force on 1 February 2017. The goal is to promote the use of e-services and prevent the misuse of VAT refunds.

Corporations, joint administrations and all other VAT-registered taxpayers are only allowed to file the bank account number on paper for a special reason. Special reasons include not being able to use e-filing due to technical failure.

Note! Customers liable to pay car tax and excise tax must use a paper form to report their bank account number.
