Online services for filing changes with the Trade Register and the Tax Administration to be expanded

New online services for filing changes with the PRH Trade Register and the registers at the Finnish Tax Administration will be launched in Finnish and in Swedish on 24 February 2016 at the ytj.fi website, which is jointly maintained by the two authorities.

To use the online service, you need to have a Finnish personal identity code and personal internet banking codes or an electronic identity card (HST card). If you file your notification online, you also pay the handling fee online.

What changes will I be able to file using the online service in Finnish or in Swedish?

You will be able to file changes of address or contact details for most common types of companies.

The following types of companies will be able to file changes to their articles of association: limited liability companies, public limited companies, housing companies, insurance companies, public insurance companies, mutual insurance companies and mutual public insurance companies.

Co-operatives, co-operative banks and savings banks will be able to file changes to their rules, and general partnerships and limited partnerships will be able to file changes to their partnership agreement.

You will be able to file changes online to all registered matters included in the articles of association of your company, such as the company name, the parallel company name, the line of business, and the place of registered office etc.

Limited liability companies, public limited companies, and housing companies will be able to file notifications concerning their capital. You will also be able to report subsidiary mergers or normal mergers online if the acquiring company is a limited liability company.

All types of businesses and organisations that are able to file changes online will also be able to file changes to their company representatives as well as notifications concerning their company name, parallel company name or auxiliary company name.

Private traders (Tmi, Fma) will be able to report their termination of business to the Trade Register.

All the above types of companies will be able to report changes to the VAT Register, the Prepayment Register and the Employer Register. Businesses will also be able to report a new main line of business to the Finnish Tax Administration.

You must report changes to the PRH Trade Register and the registers at the Finnish Tax Administration. You will find instructions on the PRH website at prh.fi and on the Tax Administration website at vero.fi. Links on the websites will take you to the ytj.fi website.
