Non-Finnish users – Individuals authorised to sign for the company

Those who have been authorised to sign for their company may set up a Katso identification which can be completed with Master User privileges. They can be Finnish or of any other nationality. As the Master User, you can manage your company’s details in the Katso service and grant and receive authorisations.

To set up a new Katso Master User, there are two steps that you must go through:

1. Setting up a Katso ID

  • Setting up a Katso ID when you don’t have a Finnish personal identity code

Set up a Katso ID using your passport number. To activate the ID you must prove your identity by sending a copy of your passport (a copy of the identity card is not valid), notarised by a notary public or certified by a police department, court of law, or embassy. The copy must include the original stamp and signature of the official. If you want to become a Katso Master User, you must send also a certificate showing your right to sign for the company (a Trade Register extract or an equivalent document in Finnish, Swedish or English), notarised by the notary public or certified by the registration office, within three weeks from the day on which you set up the ID. The extract must include the original stamp and signature of the official and must not be older than 6 months. Send them to Katso support at

Set up a Katso ID using your Finnish personal identity code. To activate the ID you must prove your identity by using Finnish web banking identifiers or a Finnish microchip identity card. If you do not have either, you must prove your identity within three weeks from the day when you set up the ID. Visit a tax office that handles Katso client registration or send a copy of your passport (a copy of the identity card is not valid), notarised by the notary public or certified by a police department, court of law, or embassy, within three weeks from the day on which you set up the ID to Katso support. You can set up Master User privileges in the Katso service as soon as the ID you set up in the previous step has been activated. Sign in to the service with your Katso ID. Check the BIS service, whether your Business ID is a Finnish Business ID.

If your company does not have a Finnish Business ID, please read the additional instructions or contact the Katso Support (katso.support(at)vero.fi).
